Panoplie complète du parfait cycliste pour déambuler et frimer dans les rues en pente du village de Gorbio (cf à Menton Daily Photo de Jilly pour tout visiter) à céder pour cause de changement de sport. Manque le vélo qui a catégoriquement refusé d'éxécuter un tour de roues de plus, et s'est retrouvé abandonné en contrebas des routes sinueuses qui montent de Menton à Gorbio. Manquent également les lunettes qui, comme chacun sait, continuent d'être utiles en toute autre occasion à Gorbio, comme partout ailleurs dans le Sud.

He put down roots here, as the other old people of the village, in the cool hours.

Every furrow, every wrinkle inscrusted shows the time he has seen coming and going.
