MONOCHROME # 14 & RUBY TUESDAY # 9

The Hotel Crillon on the Place de a Concorde.

I find it so classy and imposing in Black and White.

Je le trouve tellement plus classe et imposant en Noir et Blanc.

  5. Candied apple! When I first saw it, I thought it won't taste good, but when I had my first taste, it was indeed very delicious. Now you got me craving. =)

    Mine is here. Good morning!

  8. The Hotel Crillon featured prominently in a book I read a while ago - how fun to see how it actually looks today.

  10. I had not considered apples and love prior to this post. Of course, red is a color of love and this fruit is red...now it makes sense!

The old hotel with its columns really does look far more elegant in black and white. The perspective is stunning as well!

  14. Catherine, you put very well Monochrome and Ruby Tuesday together. The Hotel Crillon (if I remember rightly, it has a refined restaurant) is perfect for Monochrome, and the Pommes d'Amour are so attractive for Ruby Tuesday.

  19. Catherine,
To answer your question about how thick the ice is on the lake (on my blog) this time of year, the ice is VERY thick. Cars and trucks are driving on it right now.
