Yesterday, it was the grape-harvest fete at Montmartre. An annual, very popular, fete, where many regions are always represented, even those non productors of wine.
This crowd stands in front of the arrondissement city hall.
Hier, c'était la fête des Vendanges à Montmartre. Une fête annuelle très populaire, où plusieurs régions sont représentées, même celles qui ne produisent pas de vin.
La foule se tient devant la mairie du quartier pour le départ.

They parade until they arrive at Montmartre, near the vineyards. Yes, for those who ask, Montmartre produces its own bottles of wines. So few, that they're considered as products for collection, and they're sold by auction.

That looks like you and your family had a fun day---and w/ all the fun around them they wanted to pick up confetti, I so love looking through the eyes of children,:) I just read a book that had a fete in it i assume it translates to fair or festival?
