HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! ALEXANDRA

Sixteen years ago, I had an appointment with the doctor in the afternoon. He told me to go right now from his medical practice to the hospital, not to go back home to take my belongings. He said he would join me in the end of the afternoon at the hospital.

You were born at 20:30.

At this time, began a wonderful adventure.

For you, for me, for dad.

Things were not the same after.

We were a family for ever!

  1. Happy birthday dear and lovely Alexandra! And congratulations to your proud and happy parents.

Shalom Catherine, what a blessing, 16 years with a daughter like this one!
Thanks so much for your award and kind words. I saw it this morning and left you a thank you-comment. Did you see it?
I'll have to post it tomorrow after I decide which 5 to chose. In a few minutes it is midnight and I turn into a pumpkin. hehe
    Bon nuit.

  6. Wishing your lovely daughter a very happy birthday. They turn 16 in the blink of an eye, too fast I think.

  8. What a beautiful daughter you have! What are the candles poked into? My daughter would think that is very modern :) In the Us we say..."sweet 16 and never been kissed?"

It is hard for me to even imagine this far in the future. Ours are 1 and 3 years.

  12. Congratulations! You have a beautiful daughter. I know now, intensely, what you mean, things will never be the same again...

Families are forever! Life would be so sad if they weren't.

I read what you said on my mom's blog, about parents divorcing. I see the same thing here. Also, many children have parents who have never even been married. I find this very sad, and I really don't know how people survive. I need my family! Marriage is certainly not easy, but it is worth it. It takes a certain amount of commitment, however, and many people aren't willing to keep such commitment. Also, it takes forgiveness, and people have a hard time with that as well. Your children are very blessed to have you and your husband for parents!

Thomas is now seven weeks old!!
Sometimes I don't "sleep when the baby sleeps" because I just want to look at him and hold him, because I know he will grow up too fast. They say you can not spoil a baby before they are 6 months old, (or some say a year), but I'm afraid Tommy is spoiled already anyway.
