Don't waste your time looking at the clocks, if the train is still along the platform, you already get one chance to get on !
Deux horloges sur un quai de la gare de Lyon.
Ne perdez pas vitre temps à consulter l'heure, si le train est à quai, vous avez encore une chance d'y monter.

Just the kind of shot I love! All that black, and the angular pattern of the roof, and then the circles of the clocks - wonderful!
RépondreSupprimerBonjour Catherine,
RépondreSupprimerA good monochrome, reminded me of last year, we went on the Eurostar to Gare du Nord.....
Only for the day... :-)
Great perspective on this photo.
RépondreSupprimerVery quaint - two clocks. Somebody was concerned with symmetry.
RépondreSupprimerMakes a good picture
Wonderful view and clocks!
RépondreSupprimerFormerly I was often in Paris, because a friend lives and works there. Now she lives here.
Looks like a mirror image, but the clocks read the same time.
RépondreSupprimerThat makes such an interesting shot and perfect for black and white.
RépondreSupprimerI adore train clocks, each unique and evocative of another era.
RépondreSupprimerCatherine, you took this photo in these days, but it looks like an ancient image: very nice. There is a good perspective, and I like those clocks with Roman numerals.
RépondreSupprimerJ'adore ces vieilles pendules. Gare de Lyon, gare de Lyon...serais-tu d'humeur neigeuse?
RépondreSupprimer... and the two clocks show exactly the same hour! :-) Nice shot from a nice station!
RépondreSupprimerdeux belle soeurs jumelles, belle photo b&w.
RépondreSupprimerSinon, il n'y aucune régle pour blogger, moi je ne blog pas le weekend, car je m'interdit l'ordinateur le weekend. Apres il y a les règles quand tu es taggués par quelqu'un.
This is great, Catherine. I could look at this one for a long, long while studying it. ;-)
RépondreSupprimerI love this. the two clock make it look like a reflection. Can't quite figure out why they thought it necessary to put tow of them right there together like that, but I'm glad they did. Maybe they just knew it'd make a cool photo!
RépondreSupprimerPerfect for monochrome.
RépondreSupprimerWonderful MM shot. Great lines. I love those old train stations in Europe. They have so much character.
RépondreSupprimerThat is a great photo. I really like that.
RépondreSupprimerOhhh! I love photos of these details. Thanks for posting!
RépondreSupprimerSuperbe photo de gare.
RépondreSupprimerPeut etre quelques en vacances en perspective...
Enjoy the sunny coast of the Riviera!!
Love the incredible detail! I clicked on it to make it bigger, and the details are very sharp. Good job!
RépondreSupprimerNifty one, Catherine. Great for b&w and also for evoking some sort of train ride in Europe, like maybe to Istanbul on the Oriental Express.
RépondreSupprimerAll that geometry looks so good in b&w. Excellent shot, Catherine..well spotted.
RépondreSupprimerCette photo est interessant. J'aime le perspective et les ombres que tu as utilisee ici.
RépondreSupprimerJ'aime aussi les "Old fashioned" horloges avec Roman numerals.
