PARIS "AUX CHAMPS" - PARIS AT FIELDS

In France, baby boys are born in cabbages, it's a well-known fact

In Paris, some have kept a nostalgia of their provincial origins not so distant.
That's how we can discover in the very famous Plce du Rond Point des Champs Elysées, a field of cabbages with wonderful colors. Of course, since we (or our parents) have lost our practical and ancestral mind somewhere at the doors of Paris, we're the only one in France to cultivate non edible veggies, just for the show.

Nevertheless, as we're very concerned about the dangers for the health of certain agricultural practice, some of us take the liberty to put up some warnings in the subway with humour.

"Go away poor'GMO"

I don't certify that it's the act of a true Parisian, but maybe of a visitor from the provinces at the Salon de l'Agriculture, a kind of agricultural show in Paris, once a year, since I took the picture on the subway line that serves this show.

No matter, you're warned ....

Where in France are baby girls born? In the US we also use certain cabbages for display instead of consumption.

Even better than your postcard is your choice of music today! What a brilliant variation on Satie; I must find more.

  5. In England we find our babies under a gooseberry bush, or the stork delivers them! Beautiful card! I prefer cabbages to be edible, though.
