MONOCHROME MONDAY # 17

I've changed colors in B&W because of the red chimney. Otherwise, it would have been posted in natural grey Monochrome

Snowy yesterday
Chalk strokes on the slate blackboards of the town.
A white squibble in the air.
And a traffic jam on the ground.

On this one, true colors

  3. Bonjour Catherine,
Your windows and roof tiles look lovely in b/w, we are getting more snow right now.....

  4. We had this sort of scene this morning - then it rained... and I mean RAIN. No white stuff left - hurray!

  5. Beautiful winter scene!

I love watching snow fall - as long as I'm safely ensconced in a nice warm room!

  6. We still have had no snow, just rain. It's a lovely wintery city scene. Makes me want to wrap up warm with a hot chocolate.

  9. These are perfect! And those are some big flakes too! Love the way they "streak" across the frame, just a little.

  12. Lovely B&W shots. We had some snow last week, but now all washed away... Must say I prefer snow over rain this time of year.

    Bisous a tous!

  19. I haven't made a b&w photo since some decades, but it's true that these days even colour photos have a tendency to come out b&w! We had a gathering of old colleagues in Paris this weekend; not everybody was able to join because of the heavy snowfall. We have a new one in September, hopefully without snow!

  20. Except for the fact that the storm and snow itself probably wasn't that nice, the pictures turned out awesome!
I love the motion in them!

  27. Those chalky streaks against the dark facade of the building make a wonderful composition. It reminds me of the winter I had in north America.

A very nice choice for the Monochrome Monday, Catherine.
