AUTOUR DU MONDE - AROUND THE WORLD

Sous le ciel, Le Monde
Under the sky, Le Monde (The World is the title of one of our main newspaper).

Head office of Le Monde in the 13 rd district. The facade on the Auguste Blanqui boulevard is covered with Victor Hugo's verses from where doves fly off drawed by Plantu (who is the illustrator of Le Monde). The liberty of the press.
The side of the building watched from a perpendicular street.

L'apparence du Monde évolue avec le temps ...............

The appearence of Le Monde (of the world) changes with the weather.

Following my yesterday post concerning the Kreativ Award offered by HPY, Joseph at Life In Motion has accepted this award. I'm very glad he did, because he discovered my blog following an other distribution of award that we both received at the same time. It means that awards allow to meet new bloggers, with who you can link.

Joseph lives in India. I recommand you to make the trip up to Kerala via his blog. He'll present you his country, and share his culture. Joseph even astonished me writing in his comment about our French own History. I was thinking that he knew so much more about French History than I knew about his Indian one. So, that's the opportunity to increase our knowledge, going and visiting his blog.

  1. Thanks for letting us visiting "Le Monde", the World, including the side trip to Kerala (I must go to India - also!!) Interesting building, indeed!

(By the way, Le Monde is perhaps the best known French newspaper abroad, possibly with Le Figaro, but the largest circulation of the French newspapers is of course Ouest France, the regional Brittany newspaper.)

  4. "Le Monde" and "Le Figaro" are the two most important newspapers in France, aren't they?
The building of "Le Monde" reminds me of the modern building of "La Stampa", the great italian newspaper, which is here in Turin near the river Po.

  8. So that's the new headquarters of Le Monde. It used to be on the right bank before.
If Ouest France is the national newspaper with the largest circulation, as Peter so correctly says, our little regional paper, Le Courrier Cauchois, is the second largest regional paper, but the one that has grown the most lately. And that's an exception in the newspaper world today, when readers don't buy so much news anymore, preferring to read them on the net. (Including myself.)
    The building is quite interesting.
And thanks for having shown me - indirectly - the way to Joseph. His blog is interesting. We paid us a mutual visit yesterday.
